The film, based on the award-winning novel Stolen by Ann-Helén Laestadius, instantly received rave reviews from major newspapers for its depiction of Sámi culture and beautiful cinematography. The film took place at the top ten-list in over 70 countries.
At the helm of the groundbreaking production is director Elle Márjá Eira (The Sámi Have Rights, Ealát) with screenwriter Peter Birro (Monica Z, 438 Days). Marking her acting debut, Elin Kristina Oskal holds the leading role, alongside Martin Wallström (Mr. Robot) and Lars-Ánte Wasara, among others. Ann-Helén Laestadius serves as an Executive Producer.
