‘Adrian’ Shortlisted for the August Prize
Maxim Grigoriev’s latest novel Adrian has been shortlisted for this year’s August Prize, Sweden’s most prestigious literary award, in the category ‘Swedish Fiction Book of the Year’. The jury’s motivation reads:
“Adrian is a grand portrayal of Stockholm that explores friendship and alienation between three young men spanning two decades. With a precise and sensible prose, the seemingly hopeless search for meaning in a society under constant transformation takes shape. Maxim Grigoriev has written an insightful and well-composed novel that elegantly transcends time and space.”
The August Prize is an annual Swedish literary award which was established in 1989 by the Swedish Publishers’ Association. The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on November 23rd.
