Alex Schulman’s Tröstrapporter Premieres
Tröstrapporter, marking Alex Schulman’s debut as a playwright and director, premiered on Friday September 16th at the Swedish national stage for theater, Dramaten.
The monologue about a man coming to terms with the events of his life, returning in glimpses to traumas of childhood, is performed by award-winning actor Gustaf Skarsgård and has received rave reviews after its premiere:
“Tröstrapporter is a short story embodied. […] The performance continues to grow after the applause has ceased.”
Aftonbladet
“Tröstrapporter is, for me, an internal face-off, a self-reconciliation, with two painful points of departure, which prove to be connected, but nevertheless pulling in slightly different directions.”
Svenska Dagbladet
“It is also well directed. Clean. It takes almost half an hour […] before it strikes me that it is directed at all. And that’s a point of praise.”
