‘Brightly Shining’ is Dua Lipa’s Monthly Read

Ingvild H. Rishøi’s internationally bestselling novel Brightly Shining has been chosen by Dua Lipa and her website Service95’s bookclub as their Monthly Read for December.

The announcement was made through a collaborative post between Service95 and Dua Lipa’s Instagram accounts, which boast 247,000 and almost 90 million followers respectively. Materials will be shared regularly throughout December through the book club’s newsletter, through theirs and Dua Lipa’s Instagram accounts, as well as on Service95’s website. Here is what Dua Lipa had to say about the book in the announcement:

“This book really stayed with me – it made me think about families impacted by addiction, about vulnerable people living at the margins, and about the importance of community, particularly at this time of year. It also made me think of the miracle small acts of kindness can be.”

Ingvild H. Rishøi is the first ever Scandinavian author to be chosen as Dua Lipa’s Monthly Read.
