‘Brightly Shining’ Nominated for the 2026 Dublin Literary Award

The UK edition of Ingvild H. Rishøi’s critically acclaimed novel Brightly Shining has been nominated for the prestigious Dublin Literary Award 2026.

The award was established in 1994 and aims to promote excellence in world literature. Each year, libraries from all around the world nominate titles, with an international panel of judges selecting the longlist, shortlist and winner. The 2026 list consists of 69 titles nominated by 80 libraries from 36 countries.

The longlist will be presented on February 17th, 2026, and the winner will be announced at an award ceremony in Dublin on May 21st, 2026, as part of the International Literature Festival Dublin. For translated titles, the winning author and translator will receive €75,000 and €25,000 respectively.
