‘Brightly Shining’ Premieres Today

The film adaptation of Ingvild H. Rishøi’s internationally bestselling novel Brightly Shining had its world premiere today, July 24th, at the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy.

The film is also competing for the Gryphon Award during the festival. The winners of the award will be decided by a jury consisting of more than 5,000 young people from 30 different countries. Fingers crossed!

At the helm of the production is director Ida Sagmo Tvedte, who has also written the manuscript alongside Ingvild H. Rishøi. The roles of Melissa and Ronja will be brought to life by actors Anna Drakopoulou Sverrirsdóttir and Luiza Idrizi, marking her acting debut.
