Christoffer Carlsson Winner of the Best Swedish Crime Novel of the Year Award
Christoffer Carlsson has won the award for Best Swedish Crime Novel of the Year 2023 for The Living and the Dead.
Carlsson has been nominated for the award four times, and this marks his second win. He previously won the award in 2013 for The Invisible Man from Salem, when he was also the youngest person ever to win it.
The award is given each year by the Swedish Crime Writers’ Academy and is Sweden’s most prominent prize for suspense writing. This also means that The Living and the Dead will be Sweden’s contribution to the Glass Key Award, the prize for the Best Nordic Crime Novel of the Year.
The Living and the Dead was published in Sweden by Albert Bonniers Förlag on April 21st.
