Ingvild H. Rishøi Awarded the Culture and Equality Ministry’s Prize

Ingvild H. Rishøi has been honored with the Culture and Equality Ministry’s Prize for her rhyme book Borti Natta. The book was nominated in the category ‘Picture Book’ and the jury’s motivation reads as follows:

Borti Natta consists of a vast variety of rhyming poems that shifts between frivolity and seriousness, offering a wide spectrum of themes and forms of expression. The poems are daring and can be viewed as both political and trivial. A proverb in the book goes: ‘Everything that rhymes is true!’. But in Borti Natta you find both truth and lies, wisdom and madness. The poems about morning, day, evening and night have a noticeable connection to the east side of Oslo, where both people and motifs reappear throughout the book. [It’s] a fun but thought-provoking poetry collection about life in all its wonderful, mad glory.”

Borti Natta was published in Norway by Gyldendal on 6th of March, 2024.
