John Wells Productions options the rights to Tove Alsterdal’s High Coast Series

The rights to Tove Alsterdal’s The High Coast Series have been optioned by John Wells Productions with plans to adapt it into a major television series.

Six-time Emmy Award winner John Wells and the company’s President of TV Erin Jontow will be executive producers of the series, and Tove Alsterdal will be co-executive producer. John Wells Productions is the company behind hugely successful shows such as The West Wing, ER, and Animal Kingdom to name a few. Their most recent success is the Netflix series Maid.
