Jonas Brun Awarded the Karl Vennberg Prize
Jonas Brun has been awarded the Karl Vennberg prize.
The Karl Vennberg prize was established in 1996 and is awarded yearly with a prize sum of 150.000 SEK to a young poet by the Society of the Nine, a Swedish literary academy. The academy’s purpose is to promote Swedish literature, peace and women’s issues.
Jonas Brun made his literary debut in 2004 and has since published several celebrated novels and poetry collections. His latest collection of poems, Names, was instantly hailed by readers and critics alike, further cementing his position as a distinctive voice on the Swedish literary scene.
