Kyrre Andreassen Shortlisted for the Library Literature Award
Kyrre Andreassen’s critically acclaimed novel Not People I Can Depend On has been shortlisted for the 2025 Norwegian Library Literature Award. The Library Literature Award was established in 2022 by eight of Norway’s biggest libraries, who took the initiative to invite all of the country’s public libraries to create a new literature award based on the values of Norwegian libraries as cultural institutions and their integral role in society.
The prize is awarded annually to a Norwegian book published in the last five years, across any genre.
The winner is decided by public vote. The last day to vote is September 26th, and the winner will be announced in October.
