Natural Behavior in Rave Review from Aftonbladet
Golnaz Hashemzadeh Bonde’s latest novel Natural Behavior has received a rave review from Swedish evening newspaper Aftonbladet:
“A cat’s insufficient mothering becomes the portrait of brutality itself – what could have been a wooly comfort turns to horror under the sign of reproduction. […] Mothering is permitted to be something complex, almost enigmatic. Within Lily’s bubble things are alive and throbbing. And that’s what is interesting, in a literary way as well: not in it being perfect, but in it being alive.”
Natural Behavior was published by Wahlström & Widstrand on September 27th.
