New Book: ‘None Shall Escape’ by Anders Sundkvist

None Shall Escape, the second installment of Anders Sundkvist’s praised Crime Scene North Series, is published today, August 26th, 2026.

A murdered prosecutor, brutally killed and dumped in the woods.
Nazi demonstrations and civil unrest.
Three officers, no suspects, and plenty of secrets.

On an ice-cold October night, a high-profile prosecutor is found brutally murdered in the woods outside of Luleå. Half her face is caked in dried and frozen blood, and one unseeing eye stares into the darkness of the night.

Officers Julia Berg and Khaled Zaki are put at the head of the investigation, with detective Demian Vide supporting them from the sidelines. Demian’s young adepts throw themselves headfirst into the case, but they are quickly stumped. Everyone who knew the prosecutor, Alice Hammar, insists that she was well-liked, respected, and immensely loved by family and friends. However, Alice’s line of work comes with the unfortunate bonus of plenty of pissed off criminals. Could one of the perps she’d prosecuted have returned to seek revenge?

By coincidence, Julia stumbles across the unsolved murder of a woman eight years prior with chilling similarities to their ongoing case. At the time, the woman’s husband was the prime suspect, but he was cleared of all charges. He now catches the police’s interest once again, and his 14-year-old son Jack, who never truly got to mourn the loss of his mother, vows to search for the truth himself.

Meanwhile, a shameful past filled with secrets begins to surface, carrying echoes from the 1940s wartime years. A time when German Nazis roamed freely in the North; a time that most of Northern Sweden would rather keep buried.

None Shall Escape is published in Sweden by Norstedts.
