Stolen a Finalist for Best Easy to Read Book
Ann-Helén Laestadius’s critically acclaimed novel Stolen, in an easy to read adaptation by Jenny Lindblad, is a finalist for the study association Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan’s literature prize for best Easy to Read book 2023.
The award was established in 2020 and a jury consisting of elected officials, language specialists, and readers who themselves have intellectual disabilities have chosen six finalists for the award. The finalists were selected from the following requirements:
“The books should have a language that is easy to understand and be adapted for readers in need of clear and concrete texts, while at the same time being captivating and emotional.”
The winner will be announced during the Göteborg Book Fair this fall.
